Back in the biz.

Hey guys!
The weather has been just great during my light week, so I have been able to enjoy it a bit as well, even if i haven't been sunbathing at the beach just yet.

I had a nice almost 1,5hour walk outside on Friday, i checked out the neighborhood which i haven't seen before and i walked to the near beach as well to see what was it really like. The sunny and hot weather gathered a lot of people there on that day. I was just listening to good music and walking. Really relaxing. I loved it.

Now the light week and resting's over and i'm starting the whole workout cycle again. And of course it started with a leg workout on saturday.
Trained again with Emma.

We changed the basic smith squats to free barbell front squats this time in a long time and we did 4 sets of those.

warmed up to 50kg/110lbs

60kg/132lbs x 8
70kg/154lbs x 8
70kg/154lbs x 8
70kg/154lbs x 8

Then I did hack squats:

warmed up till 60kg/132lbs

3 sets of 90kg/198lbs for 8-10 reps.

3 sets of horizontal leg press /hack squat machine, then some leg extension supersets with seated leg curls.

I'd really need muscle mass in my inner thighs as well, so we thought about doing some sets with the adductor and abductor machines! HAHAHA! But dayum, i can really feel em now! lol! nice workout overall.

After I got home from the gym, I started getting ready for the evening, cos we were supposed to go celebrate our friends b-day. They both turned 30, so they had a " 60 yo b-day party" together :)

So Heidi came to my place, and then we hung out for awhile and then went to the party.
They had put up a lot of food, like chicken on sticks, pork, chicken and shrimp salad, lot of other different delicious food and treats and of course they had the b-day cake!.. Haha, I left the chips and candy to other guests, but of course i had to taste a bit of the cake :)

We had a blast there, and after midnight they ordered a karaoke taxi for us and we drove to the city to this one nightclub which we had a vip table and all.

It was a really nice evening! So thanks for the girls for arranging the party for us!! I had a blast. You guys are awesome.

Sun is shining...

Hello again!!

My light week (training wise) ended on tuesday, and now I have 3 days totally off from the gym (except some cardio), to let my muscles, joints and nerves relax even a bit before I start the whole 10 weeks again :)

But dayum! The weather has been fantastic today!! It's been like +26-28 and SUNNY all day long! no clouds (well, maybe one or two, but who counts anyways, huh? lol)
When I was running on errands...I just felt so relaxed when I was driving around in my car, with Katy Perry's new album playing from the car stereos, and had a window open and it was soo warm and sunny... AHH I LOVE THAT FEELING!! just to listen to good music, enjoy the hot weather and enjoying the ride <3

-me and my (eventhough a bit dirty) beautiful baby <3

Drove to my parents place today, and went for a longer walk with my mom, which was really nice, even though my shoes didn't really agree about going for a long walk.. uugh. so now i have to suffer cos i have blisters all over my feet... hurts like a mofo. can't even walk well! LOL! I hope they'll heal soon.

Then I cleaned my car a bit (my dad didn't have the right stuff at their place at the moment, so I had to settle for only cleaning the windows and the windshield.. haha. oh well.) :)

And last, but not least...

I'd really want to thank each and every one of you for really supporting me. And especially in my last blog update, the comments you wrote...
You guys actually made some of my thoughts a lot clearer. You made me smile and really made me think about life in general, and like, what I want with it and what i'd want to achieve.

So thank you again for brightening up my day(s)!

Have a great rest of the week and I hope you also get hot sunny weathers as well!

Love you all!!

Mmm...feeling tired..

Now it's time for my lighter week! Well earned one,i'd say?

Even if I had one more off day this week cos I went to an OMT-physiotherapist to fix my back again. I always seem to have problems with my lower back and "hip bone"-area.
Probably it's from back in the days, when i was probably like 6-7 yrs old, and in the winter i was sliding a slope with a sled. And then I rode through a small hill which made my sled jump to the other side of the road, and that's when I hit my back the first time, and I remember I really couldn't walk for a week.

Then when I was a competitive cheerleader, and I was the one who lifts ppl up and throws 'em in to the air. I think those caused some pressure to my back as well, as I seem to remember that I started to notice a lot of pain like 2 months prior to the cheerleading nationals. Luckily it "healed" before the comp and I could compete.

Now when bodybuilding, I finally found the reasons causing my back pains. Which i've already told you guys before.. (SI-joint and hip). Sometimes the Si-joint kinda rises so it makes my other leg shorter than the other which can cause a lot of different kind of pains in the whole body.
I'm just a lil unfortunate with my back, but I have to deal with it....and of course I'd just need to start doing pilates again! ;-)

Oh well,,, My trainings been pretty good. Trained back with my coach and checked out some exercise forms and stuff. Lots of useful info as always!

Yesterday (friday) I had a lil extra workout, did some bi's, tri's and lateral delts.

DB curls, lying cable curls, seated tricep extensions, pushdowns, dips, one arm machine curls, lateral raises and upright rows. Nice lil workout I must say :)

Then after I got home, I got ready to meet up with Heidi, cos we had a table reservation at this one nice lil restaurant.
I haven't been eating out in a long time, as I don't usually like the high calorie food they just only seem to offer.

We both ordered some nice 180g beef's (couldn't get any bigger ones... that sucks! lol), some sliced potatoes, a nice slice of grilled pineapple and jalopenoes. It was good, and finally a meal that made me full (compared to the last one I had when I was in a restaurant,,,I had to go buy some quark and apple afterwards!! haha)

After we were finished, we went to meet up some friends in this one club in helsinki. They had this some radio channel's party in there, so that's why there were so many people. When me and heidi were waiting outside the club for other friends, some guy just walked by and asked if i would want a free ticket to the club. Haha, I was pretty fortunate.

So after our friends came, we went inside and had a nice time. I just had only few drinks.
The club was too crowded for my taste, and I really hate to see drunked people acting like bunch of lil babies who can't walk or take care of themselves, if I AM sober, lmao. (jk, I really don't like to see that kind of stuff at all).

I got lost from my friends at one point, but met up with Tommi. So we decided to get out there and go home.

(Man i was sweating there, as you can see from my hair!)

I really didn't feel comfortable there, when some ppl just gave me weird looks and rised they're eyebrows and said something bad (which i really couldn't hear that well though..luckily). Especially some guys can be pretty nasty...
Some people are just way too narrow minded and can't accept people who want to build their bodies and stuff. Especially with women.
Oh well, luckily i'm doing this for me, not for them!

(Tommi and I)

(Haha, I have no idea whose sunglasses those were!)

Today I woke up waaaay too late (like 1:15pm haha), so I'm kinda "late" from my schedule. Supposed to do some light leg workout today by myself.

So I probably should start getting ready then!

Have a great weekend, and dont get too drunk ,lol ;-)!

And oh, thanks again for all the helpful information you guys have been given me like about the game schools/jobs and stuff! I really appreciate all your help!!

Love,
Eva

Past week

Hey you all!

I apologize for not updating my blog any sooner. (Ps. Peter, thanks for caring :))
I've been trying to figure out some stuff in my life and of course I've been training as well, 5 days a week, and then did some cardio on the "rest" days.

I've been trying to find a new job as well. Probably didn't tell you guys, that I had to quit in my old job, cos of the dust allergy.. So now i'm kinda like in hurry to find a new job to be able to pay my living and stuff!!

I had one job interview, for this one fitness club...I should hear from them pretty soon I think.
Now it seems like no one's really hiring at this point, you know. Like they start recruiting people again in the fall, like August-September.

I'd also want to go to a school, but unfortunately I didn't get to the school I applied to...(I was really devastated when i heard that)... and it was like the only one around here (other 1-2 ones are in the northern part of Finland, and i'm DEF not going any norther from here!! haha). It's a game development school... We don't really have those kind of schools in here Finland, unfortunately...
USA seems to have lot of schools which are kinda made for the people who are interested in game development and game art and design. And who would want to break in to the industry through those schools.

I've always wanted to work with video games/art... haha, I can imagine you guys thinking "huh? a girl working as a video game maker?! no way!".
I've played since i was like 4 yrs old, so I have a passion for it as well. And I love to do art as well. Just gotta practice a lot on that as well.

Anyhooo... My workouts been pretty good! Even if i really didn't make any new records, it's still cool though. I can't expect that I'd be lifting heavier every week in every exercises, lol.

Midsummer is already here.

Another week just passed by...and it's already July. How the time just seems to fly, don't you think? No? haha.

I've been pretty tired lately.. I have no idea why. even if I sleep for like 9-10hours, I'm stil really tired and have to take lil naps during the day. Maybe my body is needing a break again? hmm.. I have no clue.

Oh, btw, I'd really like to know which shows are must-see in the US, and when/where they are held? Cos when the day comes, and I'm travelling to the States, i'd def want to go see a show. I've been thinking about the Nationals, or even the Olympia. But is there any other good ones some of you recommend that I should go see? It would be cool if it would be pretty big though, so there would be a lot to see in the expo area as well. (and souvenirs to buy, Wohoo! lol)
It would be super exciting to see a real big bbing show, cos those are not that huge in here, especially the fbbing competitions... or should i say; competitiON.

On tuesday I trained back, hams and rear delts.

Deadlifts felt really heavy, dunno why... did 4 sets of that with 100-105kg for 8 reps.

Then I moved onto barbell rows:
100kg/220lbs x 6
100kg/220lbs x 6
90kg/198lbs x 6

Seated cable row:
80kg/176lbs x 8
85kg/187lbs x 7
80kg/176lbs x 8

Lying leg curl:
35kg/77lbs x 10
40kg/88lbs x 10
40kg/88lbs x 9
45kg/99lbs x 7

Seated leg curl:
190lbs x 10
225lbs x 9
225lbs x 5 (oopsie,lol) -> 190lbs x 6 -> 150lbs x 6

Hamstrings on a leg press:
310kg/683lbs x 10
330kg/727lbs x 10
340kg/749.6lbs x 9 (woohoo!)

Rear delts (reverse pec deck):
35kg/77lbs x 10
40kg/88lbs x 8
40kg/88lbs x 8
40kg/88lbs x 8

Then did some extra :>

rear delt row:
70kg/154lbs x 10
70kg/154lbs x 10
70kg/154lbs x 10

Dumbell Shrugs:
38kg/83.7lbs x 10
38kg/83.7lbs x 10
40kg/88lbs x 12

Wednesday I went to train Chest and Shoulders alone:

Smith Incline Bench press:
60kg/132lbs x 7
60kg/132lbs x 5 (i kinda suck in these,lol)
55kg/121lbs x 8

Smith decline bench press:
50kg/110lbs x 8
50kg/110lbs x 9
50kg/110lbs x 9

Cable crossovers (really focusing on the form):
25kg/55lbs x 10
30kg/66lbs x 6-> 15kg/33lbs x 6
25kg/55lbs x 10

Pullover with a db:
28kg/61.7lbs x 8
28kg/61.7lbs x 9

Smith shoulder press:
40kg/88lbs x 9
45kg/99lbs x 6
45kg/99lbs x 6
40kg/88lbs x 8

One arm lateral raise:
14kg/30.8lbs x 10
16kg/35lbs x 10
16kg/35lbs x 10
16kg/35lbs x 10

Upright row:
55kg/121lbs x 12
60kg/132lbs x 12
60kg/132lbs x 11
60kg/132lbs x 10

And then abs on this ab-coaster machine with some added weight and 4 sets of ab-roller for 12-15 reps.

I really hate the feeling, when after training chest, I still should have strenght to do those shoulder presses. I start to feel pretty weak when I start on doing them...it kinda eats the motivation a lil. But after this whole 8 weeks have passed, and i start this program all over again, I'll change it the other way around, so i'll train shoulders first and then chest.

Thursday, Back (lats)- rear delts and calves:

Pulldowns:
75kg/165lbs x 10
80kg/176lbs x 7
80kg/176lbs x 8
80kg/176lbs x 8

Close grip pulldowns:
70kg/154lbs x 7
70kg/154lbs x 8
70kg/154lbs x 8

Hammer strenght pulldowns ,one arm at a time(had to really focus on my right side , cos otherwise my shoulder would hurt and not stay in place ...ugh):
35kg/77lbs x 10
35kg/77lbs x 10
35kg/77lbs x 10

Standing calf raise:
140kg/308.6lbs x 8
160kg/352.7lbs x 8
160kg/352.7lbs x 7-> 110kg/242.5lbs x 4
150kg/330.6lbs x 8

Seated calf raise:
50kg/110lbs x 8
55kg/121lbs x 8
55kg/121lbs x 8

Then did some rear delt rows and one arm rear delt lateral raises.

.. Yesterday the weather was like how the summer should be like. It was reaaally warm. It was about 27+ Celcius at one point, I could just wear my jean shorts and a tank top. Mm,, I love hot summer weather soo much, and the sun shining. I went to walk outside, and seeing people just enjoying summer made me just wish this kind of weather would never end...

But that didnt last for long though,,lol. Today, cloudy, not that warm..
But hey, we had the summer even for one day ! hooray for that! LOL!...

Someone asked me to post a pic of my legs, so here's a quick pic, which i took like on tuesday.
Gotta make those chicken legs grow!! ;-)

Once again, thanks to each and every one of you, of all those encouraging messages.

You guys take care and have a great weekend!!

Eva
